"Goldfish Mer" by Andrea Thomas

I did this on a Sunday afternoon, practicing my watercolors and my anatomy. I was sitting there innocently painting the background when I realized I had spilled a big glob of yelllow paint on the tailfin when the tube had exploded earlier, and I thought to myself... "well, there's an obvious solution to this..." so I started painting her tail yellow and orange. At this point, my husband looks over from his video game and says "oh, that's creative. A goldfish mermaid!" And I kind of chuckled to myself and let him think I did it on purpose.

So, here she is; Goldie. Watercolor and ink on the wrong kind of paper (regular sketch paper, I edited out the wrinkles that happen when wet paper dries)
