  | I have been trying so hard to get back into producing artwork. Sometimes I will just sit down and sketch a bunch of random things, and this is the most presentable sketch I came up with in one of those recent sketch sessions. I wouldn't call her an elf, because elves don't have a monopoly on pointy ears. She's more of a sprite or a gnome type. Definitely a forest-dwelling creature. My technique was to start with a regular soft-lead sketching pencil and touch up with mechanical pencil. I'm learning that's more effective than starting with a mechanical because you can actually erase and the inital lines go down more naturally and fluidly. |
